Important Announcement of Khenpo’s teaching on the Vimalakirti Sutra

Since March 27th, Khenpo Sodargye started to give the teaching of the Vimalakirti Sutra, which now has been ongoing for 39 sessions. Khenpo will continue to give the teachings in late March, 2019, with English and Japanese simultaneous interpretation available. You are very welcome to join us!

The video recordings of the previous teaching are now available on Khenpo’s official website — Vimalakirti Sutra.

 

Since Khenpo teaches in Chinese, and he chooses the version of Kumarajiva as the main text, so when we prepare the slides for the teaching, we use John McRae’s translation to follow the Chinese text.

 

There are several translations that you may use for your reference:

  1. John McRae’s translation
  2. 84000’s translation
  3. Burton Watson’s translation
