New Talk Available: Women in Contemporary Tibetan Buddhism

On November 5, 2014 Khenpo Sodargye visited McGill University in Montreal, Canada to give a lecture on “Women in Contemporary Tibetan Buddhism”. Drawing upon Tibetan history, he talked about women receiving the honorific title ‘Jo-Mo’ and the accomplishments of many great women and female practitioners both past and present. Khenpo also addressed the issue of gender equality in the three vehicles of Buddhism and provided suggestions to women as to how to contribute to the warmth and beauty of the world.
